1080 × 1350 pixels (4:5) is the recommended feed size. Facebook supports ratios from 1.91:1 to 4:5, so 1080 × 1080 squares and 1200 × 630 landscapes work too.

How to size images for Facebook
4:5 for the feed
Facebook recommends 4:5 for feed posts and supports 1.91:1 to 4:5. A 1080 × 1350 portrait takes the most room on a phone.
1.91:1 for link previews
Shared links show a 1200 × 630 image. Below 600 × 315 Facebook shows a small preview instead of the large card.
The cover crops differently
The Page cover shows wider on desktop and shorter on phones. Upload 851 × 315, the size Facebook's help gives, and keep text in the middle.
Example: “A 4,032 × 3,024 photo for a Facebook link preview” = a 4,032 × 2,117 centre crop, saved at 1,200 × 630
Sizes checked on October 10, 2026, against Facebook's help centre and Meta's sharing docs.
