01The moment a caption or first comment holds a link, a Shorten & track links switch appears under it. Turn it on and each link gets its own mydrp.link short link, updated live as you type, edit or delete. Your caption stays exactly as you wrote it: the swap only happens in the copy sent to each network.

02The moment a post goes live, Facebook, LinkedIn and X fetch its link to draw the preview card. Counted blindly, those look like clicks, and every post starts with a fake few. Mydrop recognizes preview bots and crawlers and leaves them out, and counts unique visitors apart from total clicks.

A URL shortener turns a long web address into a short link that redirects to the original page. Mydrop's is built into the post editor: links in your captions and first comments become short mydrp.link links when the post is published, and every click is counted.
Yes. It's included on every Mydrop plan, the Free plan too. There's no separate subscription and no charge per link.
Paste the link in your caption or first comment, turn on Shorten & track links, then schedule or publish. Mydrop swaps in the short link on every network you picked. Yes. Each short link counts clicks and unique visitors, split by the network people came from and by device. You see it per post, in the Link clicks drawer under the post preview.
No. Social networks fetch a link the moment a post goes out, to build its preview card. Mydrop recognizes those preview bots and known crawlers and leaves them out of your numbers.
For social media, yes. Bitly is a standalone shortener you copy links in and out of. Mydrop shortens the links inside the posts you already write and schedule, and shows the clicks next to each post. To shorten links that never go in a social post, a standalone shortener still does that job.
Yes. UTM tags on your links, and the ones a Mydrop campaign adds, travel through the short link to your page, so Google Analytics keeps crediting the right source, medium and campaign.
No. The caption you write is never edited. The short link is swapped in only in the copy sent to each network, so you can change or remove a link any time before the post goes out.
mydrp.link followed by five lowercase letters and numbers, like mydrp.link/k7p2x. Characters that look alike, such as 0 and o or 1 and l, are never used, so a link is easy to read out loud or type.
No. A Mydrop short link has no expiry date.
