Mind the 125-character fold
The feed shows about the first 125 characters of the caption before "more". If the hook sits below it, the mockup shows the client the problem early.
Use 4:5 photos
A 1080 × 1350 portrait takes the most room in the feed. Squares and landscapes show smaller, and the mockup shows exactly how much.
Carousels and Reels look different
Add several photos for a carousel or a video for a Reel: the mockup switches layout like Instagram does, so the client approves the right format.
