On a 1080 × 1920 Reel, keep text out of the top 250 pixels, the bottom 420, where the caption, username and audio sit, and the right 140, where the buttons sit. For a Reels ad, Meta asks for 14% at the top, 35% at the bottom and 6% on the left, and the buttons still need the right 140.

Where the buttons sit
Reels: 250 top, 420 bottom
On a 1080 × 1920 Reel, keep titles out of the top 250 pixels and the bottom 420, where the caption, username and audio sit.
TikTok: mind the right edge
TikTok's like, comment and share buttons take the right 180 pixels, and the caption and music take the bottom 350.
Ads need more room
Meta's ads guide asks for 14% top, 35% bottom and 6% on each side of Reels and Stories. On Reels, also keep the right 140 pixels clear of the buttons.
Example: A subtitle 1,600 px from the top of a 1,080 × 1,920 Reel = inside the caption area, which starts at 1,500 px
Zones from Mydrop's 2026 size guide, Meta's ads guide and Google's vertical video safe zone, with each right edge measured against the real buttons, checked on 21 October 2026.

Meta gives its zones as a share of the frame (14% top, 35% bottom, 6% on each side); the pixels here are those shares of 1080 × 1920. On Reels the right edge is widened to 140 px, and on TikTok to 180 px, so the safe area never touches the like, comment and share buttons as each app draws them (measured 21 October 2026). TikTok shares its ad zones only as downloadable templates, so the rest of the TikTok row follows Mydrop's 2026 size guide.

Leave the right 180 pixels for the buttons, the bottom 350 for the caption and music, and about 130 at the top. That leaves a band of about 860 × 1440 pixels for text.
